Super Contemporary
I’m not quite sure if this exhibition is part of the London Design Festival so if not please take some time and go there to check this out. The exhibition call “Super Contemporary“. Beefeater 24 is a London born “gin” in 2008.

When Beefeater 24 challenged the Design Museum to explore just what has made design in London special, the Museum was delighted to work with them to examine what has made the city what it is today and to as some of London’s most exciting talents what the city means to them.
Super Contemporary
Collaborating closely with the Design Museum on Super Contemporary has offered up the perfect opportunity to support and shine a light on the triumphs of this creative opportunity, which, like Beefeater 24, is constantly inspired by its London home.

Fashion
London fashion is named by Luxury Unveiled – big name such as Chanel, Dior etc. Through that there is a still a hundreds of small shops sell their local brand which in many cases was part of the history. Beatles, Rolling Stones, Ping Floyd etc.

McDonalds 74′
Another interesting information which take my attention was about first McDonald’s restaurant in the UK. This restaurant was opened at Woolwich / London in 1974. Quite unique how long we eat McD’s and how big is this influence to us.

MUSIC
Another interested part was music time line. Which in any cases was connected to Beatles, Rolling Stones or even Sting and even Bjork. Every corner, Record studio or even hotel where they stayed was marked on the interactive map from POKE (one of the best media company in London).
POKE LONDON
Graphics Design
Another line of the exhibition chart of design environment was studios which wrote they own rule across the mainstream and came up with FIST THING FIRST Manifest together with EYE magazine and believe they change design industry for almost 30 years.
Nevil Brody
and his speech about the FUSE project and his London influence.

CCTV FEELING
… still watching you. London is city with highest percentage of CCTV on the world over 1/2 million cameras watching us in public transportation, train stations, tubes, banks, and other public institution. We don’t even think about that. A fragment of your footage you can see on this exhibition, with just half minute delay that make such a difference to find out how you look in their CCTV world.

Just before the record I found nice article about the CCTV in London buses that you might be interested in.

Architecture
One of the enjoyable surprising was speech of Eva Jiricna – Czech Architect living in London from 1968. Together with Jan Kaplicky she contributed in many key point of London’s architecture.

Design Museum
As another exhibition I saw will be present Javier Mariscal at London Design Museum.
