2009 dConstruct

This year Brighton and Clear Left hosted another dConstruct  conference with couple of great speakers. The journey from Victoria Station was fairly quick so in and hour we stand up on Brighton Train station and follow anther dev / teckie guys running at the conference.

Introduction and small coffee for everyone. Look over the bookstore and see what was happened in last year in world of development. The conference itself start on time at 10:00 o’clock. With my colleagues from etv we took a place and show begun.

First speaker was Adam Greenfield – he talked about the urban and metropolitan experience and data circumstances which affect our live today and how does it grow in the feature.

Urban Network – from Adam Greenfield was unusual presentation. This kind of presentation which bring in top of your mind topic you probably didn’t think about but you knew it was there hidden between the lines

Everything is carrier of information not just from the geological, destination, direction point of view but also from live and environment angle. Experience with reflection in real environment was endorsed in words reflected our actual live experience which you can use primary or secondary to make a decisions.

I enjoyed this presentation in may ways. I have been inspired by associations between the groups and social relationship.

Secound presentation was about the user experience with mobile devices which was a bit remind me my presentation I have had at PELLICO 5. Brian talk about the journey of experiences we get when we grow up. Because he is same age as me we have similar interpretation and comparison.

Lecture was concentrate defining a context and medium we use to interpret this content. Interesting characteristic and comparing.

Third Lecturer was also from States. Definitely the best part from this conference. These guys was really great. All GUI and presentation they present was just simply amazing. The process and approach they present wasn’t that unique they just dedicate exact time to each task in the project process.

Coffee break

Small coffee break between each session was refreshing and open to conversation with other conferee. From following picture you can see how does it look like and what we have seen.

Forth Lecture was kind of jucie sweet an game – ie. Crazy presentation one of the PhD student wit a lot of courage and information which was like and explosion in this dome.

Fifth inspiration came up from sci-fi world. Navigation, animation, interaction everything that we get inspired almost one century. It was entertaining.

Microsoft presentation start with some problem on the PC which make all laugh. But finally presentation was well prepared and full of contrast between the idea and real development. But it shows how the things going in real process of big company.
