WOTW – 20
20th week is here. My favorite Japanese snowboard brand called a-seven publish new collection. Lets have a look what do they have on stage.

This website is not absolutely web 2.0 cup of tea but in many cases pass W3C check. within a couple of images on back side and some functionality on front side is this website most simplest coded presentation I have ever seen. Optimize images loosing a quality of actual product.

JAPAN
When I went japan this year I have found the A SEVEN store in Osaka and cloth itself was extremely well manufactured even its “made in china“.

Simple visual navigation which allow you to see an detail of product (which is actually image as well) and than nothing. Looks like some one cut the user journey in half. No detail, no future zoom, no review – nothing no interaction at all. So you might ask again why did I wave choose this website that I still complaining.
Visual flow
First important things which took my attention was Visual flow even I don’t fully agree with type of navigation on right side consistency of informati9n presented on the screen is remarkable. Actually 10% navigation 20% description and finally 60% actual product if I don’t count expandable area.
Consistency
Visual presentation of all product without actual description is in fact brilliant idea you can store information behind the image and also when you choosing a product you don’t need to know what name of the product it is (in a first stage). Of course when you get an detail page all necessary information pop up on the screen. Only one things to consider is size of typeface which present product price – from my opinion is to small.

and what do you think …
