Call for entry

Everybody have wishes every single year when it’s become more better for others, more useful, more successful, even that have more time for travel and so on.

So let’s have a look how many chances do we have at the moment as an Graphics or Media designers to fulfill our exhibiting. I wold like to focus to all exhibition around the world which interested me in some way and which I’ll try to fulfill.

Line of the exhibitions

We can find most of the exhibition on memorable websites as are Icograda, AIGA, ATYP as well as is “posterpage” from Switzerland. For better overview lest organize it by continents.

Europe

1. ICOGRADA / is most visited place for all competition, because the Icograda supported most of them. So it can be yours first place to research to find a event you’ll be interested in.
2. EUROPE BY DESIGNERS / is an international artistic project whose aim is to unveil a multitude of images of Europe from the inside and from the outside.
3. 13th Media Art Biennale / is Poland based event for Media designers organized by WRO Center for Media Art Foundation. Another exhibition could be at Poster museum in WARSHAWA or political poster graphics at POLITICAL GRAPHICS. All Polish gaphics presents great techniqe and good line of graphics designer especialy from 70′s-80′s.
4. GRUPO CATALOGRAFICA / present basically 4 exhibitions. The 1st. one is Europe by Designers that ‘I’ve already mentioned in previous paragraph. The 2nd. one Lahti Poster Biennial 2009 that hopefully you’ve subscribe last year. The 3rd. one is Tipos Latinos Bolivia which looks really good so I probaby will try subscribe some typo work. Last one the 4th. is Bienal del Cartel en Mexico which could be nice experience apart from commission which looks really scary. Last Spanish source is BCD, Barcelona Design Centre where you can ficd all actual events in Barcelona.
   
5. ZAGREB / International exhibition of graphic design and visual communication.
6. CHAUMONT / This unique ensemble is intrinsically linked to the Festival, laying the groundwork for the Graphic design, which will establish Chaumont as leading forum for work, encounters, research and permanent exhibitions in the field of poster and graphic design.
7. NOW IN LONDON / An exhibition and series of forums, New Views 2 is a collaboration between RMIT University and the London College of Communication / University of the Arts London.
8. DESIGN AND DESIGN NEWS / is a website inform about all exhibition around, please check it out!
9. LAUS 2009/ The Laus Awards, in common with all prizes of this type, are a way of recognising the work of professionals in graphic design and visual communication.
10. TRIENALE TRNAVA / There is no more information but they will release some small web site as happened last time. Don’t worry Trienale Trnava is a great exhibition with good line of designer especially from Poland, Slovakia and Czech. SBB can be option for some foreigner as Chinese and Japanese designer – which can not make it in Trnava try  Brno thy like them a lot.
11. GRAPHIS / Unfortunately this is for tomorrow so if you are really quick you can make it. Dutch Design Center – DDC as well as GRAFIKA have a good line of inspiring exhibition.

America

1. ADCA / Gold Cube in the 88th Annual Awards is inspire event for everyone balancing between employment and personal project.
2. ADBUSTERS / We are a global network of culture jammers and creatives working to change the way information flows, the way corporations wield power, and the way meaning is produced in our society.
3. BASELINE / ow offers rare, ‘out of print’, second hand books in our Publications section. These books represent 100 years of publishing in the visual arts and publications from Otl Aicher to Jan Tschichold and Herman Zapf are now available to buy.

Asia / Australia

1. 4BLOCK / Eco Posters of all genres, with the environmental theme. No more then 5 posters or two separate series per author or per team. No special format or printing technique is required.  Another Russia based exhibition is GOLDEN BEE which has terrific organizing previous entries so hopefully this year it will be slightly better.
2. IdcN 国際デザインセンター / Nagoya Design Center present few events you could be possibly interested.
3. OSAKA / Earth Life / For the International Design Competition 2008, JDF has selected the theme “Earth Life”.
4. SANDU360 / Honk Kong based exhibition which provide great line of books and information about graphics design competition.
5. AIGA / Australian Graphic Design Association National Biennial Awards 2008 Exhibition presents on AGDA.
