Inspired by classic of Czech cinematography, he worked almost in whole Europe as a New Media Designer, external lecturer in UK as well as corespondent of few online design magazines.

How you be come
interested in graphics?

Honestly said I don’t really know, I wanted to be a electrician and repair our old television. Be able to understand all of these electronics … but true is, in that time I have been under the big influence of Zeman’s movie as was that – Cesta do pravěku, Baron Prášil, Ukradená vzducholoď an so on. This was the main inspiration for all of my interest in drawing and design itself. Next step was comics and this was the excellent way to find beauty of Roy Lichtenstein or Czech designer living and working in USALadislav Sutnar.

Before than I’ve start studying at Faculty of Fine Arts I have been studying at Faculty of Industrial Design on University of Technology. This was and excellent experience – that I would love to recommend all of you. Back to the graphics again.  I that time I work more then 4 years as a Graphics Designer in Zlin for clients as was Stival, Barum Continental, ZPS etc. In so fat that confrontation with others I was happier that most of my colleague. I have also opportunity to work with excellent graphic designer and visual artist – Macháčkem, whom share his credit for.

The University was amazing – the flexibility a modularity of all was unique. Everything works as I’ve expected until the time when I went ESAD – there I’ve been introduced to excellent designers and artists as well as different approach itself. This experience was – the breaking point – and I’ve started thinking about working abroad.

You live in UK since 2005,
what was the main reason
to move / work abroad?

France experience was definitely resolve that soon or later I’ll make an effort of New Media Designer position abroad. Coherence and quality of all Czech projects afar from can not compete with all projects that was offered abroad.
France Internship in sence was amazing and I would like to recommend all the students around. Go around for minimally 3 – 5 month somewhere else and find out how the real live go in on. It’s valuable experience, that moving your perception further even move mime.

After arrival from France internship I’ve tried to apply some of the design rules that I’ve learned in Czech design environment, but unfortunately the pressure of based structure was so powerful than my ideas. In so far as I’ve work for Czech clients I worked in two different version – one for Czech market and secound for UK portfolio.

Part of these I’ve introduced in one of my study even as I’ve present in interview for G4 – Magazine TYPO. How important is a dependence between client and designer, which we don’t really see in Czech creative environment. This was main reason why I’ve moved to England.

All comments will be appreciated.
