BFI - British Film Institute presents

British Film Institute present among other the series of Japanese movie under the name Japanese Gems. Impressive line of Akira Kurosawa movies alternate movies as “Ode to Mount Hayachine” or “Onibaba”.

The movie that honestly impress me was Akiko: The portrait of a dancer.  I haven’t seen something that impressive in last couple of years. Excellent performance, brilliant director cut as well as the whole story. It’s a shame that I didn’t have an opportunity to see more Japanese production. Our European thinking about the other population is so different and in our small lives we sometime can not  imagine how other lives are wonderful.

Any suggestion for japanese movie will be appreciated  - have a beautiful weekend
